It is our pleasure to have you all from PTTEP join us tinight.

Uniwise Offshore is a pretty young company founded in 1999 to encourage more local participation in offshore vessel operation and logistics.

In 1999, Unithai saw the opportunity as well as responsibility as a Thai shipping company to provide offshore vessel services to Thai oil and gas exploration industry. We soon found that it is an operation that allows very little margin of error in daily operation.

We therefore decided to seek partnership in this business that will allow us to enter the business quickly and prudentially. Uniwise Offshore was eventually formed on an equal partnership with Svitzer Wijmuller.

Uniwise would like to be regarded as a genuinely equal partner in the sense of financial commitment, management effort and share of opportunities as well as risks concerned. Uniwise’s goal is to nationalize all levels of staff eventually, as it is in our best interest. We are proud to have as partner Svitzer Wijmuller, who has local operations in this region, including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia as well Brunei and Australia. They are prepared to transfer the knowledge and experience to Uniwise Offshore through the training and engaging of Thai at all levels of operation. It is not a quick process but we are seeing some progress. Our effort is also best demonstrated by ordering our next new vessel from a local Thai shipyard. The ‘Uniwise Surathani’ will be delivered to PTTEP by next May. To my best knowledge, this is the first aluminum hull crew boat with this size and speed ever built in Thailand.

May I thank our partner Svitzer Wijmuller, who is very supportive of Unithai’s philosophy of growing through partnership. Unithai also looks forward to serving PTTEP’s platform construction requirement in future years.
